US announces "Economic D-Day" for Iran with fresh sanctions

Tehran : The tension between Iran and the US is escalating with each passing day, the latter is now preparing for "Economic D-Day" for the former, as announced by US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on social media. He claimed that it will be the strongest financial campaign against Tehran.
In a social media post, he said that the US is now entering endgame phase of its fight against Iran; in this the superpower will use all its economic powers to cut off financial aids Iran gets from its supporting channels.
"President Trump has dismantled Iran's military capabilities, destroyed nearly 100 percent of its military factories, and buried its nuclear program.
"We are now entering the endgame. At dawn begins an economic D-Day - the single greatest financial offensive ever marshaled against an adversary," he said.
Meanwhile, Iran has reacted strongly to it and threatened to cut off all oil supply through Strait of Hormuz and other parts of the Persian Gulf if US continues to warn about "economic war".
Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei issued the warning on Monday in a post on social media.
“If the economic war continues, not a single drop of oil will be exported. neither through the Strait of Hormuz nor from anywhere in the Persian Gulf. Iran will regard any country's participation in or support for America's economic war against the Iranian people as an act of war,” Rezaei said.
